Few people were there to see the final action, but the same type of play that has marked the games all season was witnessed b y this writer. The Jack Love Basketball League is a fast one and each member of every team plays hard to win. The men who play for the teams that compose the league give their all to give the fans the type of action that they want to see. All of the games have been marked by close scores. Often the team that was leading at half time came out on the short end of the score. Such happened to Charlotte College last Tuesday night. The young men of “OWL LAND” played a good first half and managed to stay a few points ahead of the Jaycees until half time. After inter mission, the Jaycees pressed the “Owls” and took command of the game. During the middle of the second half of the game, the Owls staged a comeback and were gain ing on the Jaycees — UNTIL — Bradford Mills and Larry Powell fouled out. The 1956-1957 basket ball season came to an end for the Owls when the final horn sounded, but most of the members of this year’s team are looking forward to next year.
