JOLLY SCHOOL GIRL.
DELK.
Delk, March 10.
We have the best teacher this
winter that we hare ever had at
this place. The children are all
learning and think there is no one
like Prof. Thus. J. Blackburn, as
he does all he can for the interest
of his pupils. He is a hard worker
in the sphool room. We have en
rolled one hundred and five, aver
age 74. Prof, is doing the work
of two teachers and should be paid
according to work. We have been
looking for Prof. J. T. Smith to
visit our school and would like for
him to do so and see what we are
doing. Come Prof, and make us
an educational talk, we will thank
you and you will return and say
that the public school at Delk has
the brightest boys and girls and
the largest attendance and best
average in the county.
Gardner, little son of Mr. Left
Joyce, has been quite sick for
several days.
Jesse Hall attended church Sun
day and went home with his best
girl. Was it dark going home
Jesse ?
MiȤ Lizzie King, of Brown
Mt., was visiting in the Delk
neighborhood Sunday.
Mis» Navada Hall visited friends
at Westfleld Sunday.
Miss Flora Sams' best fellow
accompanied her home from
church Sunday.
Several of our farmers are gone
to Winston to carry tobacco and
return and say the same old
song —low prices.
SCHOOL GIRL.
WHAT IS LIFE?
In the last analysis nobody
knows, but we do know that it is
under stric law. Abuse that law
even slightly, pain results. Irregu
lar living means derangement of
the organs, resulting in Consti
pation, Htadache or Liver trouble.
Dr. King's New Life Pills quickly
re-adjusts this. Its gentle, yet
thorough. Only 25c. at all Drug
gists.
