Oak Grove, Dec. 12. —The far mers of this section are some what overjoyed at the recent snow that covered old mother earth on last Saturday night, which they say will do wheat so much good. The wheat crop that has been sown has had a j tough time owing to so much cold j dry weather since being sowed. | It is thought by a good many , farmers that a lot of wheat has | dried out. There is a lot of sickness in this section at this writing, most ly pneumonia with some cases of typhoid. Mrs. T. B. Smith has typhoid fever and is improving very fast at present. The Oak Grove school is pro gressing nicely under manage ment of Mr. E. B. Isley. of Guil ford. who has had many years of experiancein teaching. They are planning to give the little folks a Christmas entertainment and all around good time at the close of the school for Xmas. The patrons of the school and all others that care to are invited to come and help out in the occasion which will take place on Satur day, Dec. 24. Xmas eve. Mr. W. A. McGee, of Mizpah, who has been in the employ of G. W. Slate will take charge of C. H. Lunsford fine roller mill at an early date. Mr. D. W. Gordon, of Pinnacle, Route 2, has added to his house a well furnished library which will be very much enjoyed by the family. Messrs.
