Petree. of Walnut Cove, spent Sunday here with home folks. Mr. Rufus C. Mounce, of Meadows, spent a short while in Dan bury Monday. Col. M. V. Mabe, of Danbury Route 1, spent a few hours here on business Monday. Mr. Julius Young, who holds a position in Winston, spent Sunday at his home here. Mr. J. N. Young, who is teaching near Walnut Cove, spent Sunday here with his family. Mr. J. A. Burrow, of Mizpah, was here attending to some business at the court house Monday. Mr. Walter W. King. Jr., of Greensboro, visited his parents here this week, returning home yesterday. Sam Smith, who resided near Vade Mecum Springs, enlisted in the U. S. armv at Charlotte last week. Mr. John C. Bailey, of Wal nut Cove, attended the meeting of the good roads committee here Saturday. Mr. J. Spot Taylor returned Friday night from Richmond, Va., where he purchased a lot of horses and mules. Miss Annie Blair, who is teaching at Dillard, spent Satur day and Sunday at her home here. She was accompanied by Miss Bessie Fagg, of Dillard. The switchboard of the Farm ers' Quickstep Telephone Com pany at King has been moved from the home of J. R. Hutchins to that of L. K. Pulliam. Messrs. W. F. Bowles, A. W. Davis, Jas. R. Voss. Hilary Tut tle, and Carl and Watson Joyce, of Walnut Cove, were among Danbury's visitors Saturdav. Mr. P. L. Hart, of Francisco, was a visitor at the Reporter office Monday. Mr. Hart has only recently returned to Stokes, having been living at Winston- Salem for the past three years. Mr. A. J. Fagg visited Wins ton and Greensboro Friday and Saturday. Mr. Fagg owns a nice farm just out of Greensboro on one of Guilford county's excel lent sand-clay roads. Messrs. Geo. W. t C. D. and W. H. Smith, L. P. Grogan and Watt Hutchens, good citizens of Campbell Route 1. were in Danbury Monday attending to some business matters.
