Mr. Geo. Joyce, of Route 1,
was visitor here Monday. George
has recently been right sick but
is much better now.
Local hunters captured a
large grey fox near Danbury the
past week after an exciting
chase over the hills near town.
Mr. and Mrs. H M. Saunders,
of Winston-Salem, have returned
home after a short stay at their
cottage at Piedmont Springs.
The county commissioners will
hold a special meeting here on
November 20th for the purpose
of finishing up their business for
this year and getting ready to
turn the county's affairs over to
the new board on the first Mon
day in December.

Mr. Carroll stated that he expect

tain, was a visitor in our town

is seriously sick and little hope is
entertained for his recovery.

King Route 2, Nov. 9.—The
farmers are very busy prepar
ing land and sowing wheat.
The people are beginning to
sell some tobacco in this section
and report very good prices.
The corn crop of this section
is reported good.
We learn that there will be a
beautiful home wedding in this
section Xmas.
Messrs. N. I. and R. L. Boyles
attended church at Brim's Grove
last Sunday. They reported a
small crowd.

Boyles, a fine girl.
The public schools are pro
gressing nicely, but there are
lots of children who are not at
tending.
Miss Gracie Ham spent a few
days in Mt. Airy last week.
We are glad to learn that Mr.
Wade H. Boyles. who has been
in feeble health for some time,
is improving.
