farmers of the county will prob
j ably be interested to know that
r Mogul tractors are no longer
limited to wide plains of Kansas
and oiher States, but that a new
t threshing record is being made
3 with one of these labor savers in
! the southwestern section of our
' county of Stokes.
" | A few months ago Messrs. W.
? j 11. and J. W. Slate, of Mizpah,
(purchased a l(5-horse power
. j Mogul and a No. -1 Heisersepara
; j tor to begin the threshing season
of 1916. During the 18 days that
| they have run the machine they
>: have threshed 7,500 bushels of
! grain and before the season
closes will very likely have reach
ed 10,000 bushel mark.
|; The machine does excellent
work, and at some places amaxi-
J mum amount of three bushels
per minute has been threshed
•! On July 13 the largest amount
for any one day was threshe i
. bushels. Of course it is no
easy job to feed and measure
. j this much wheat in a day. and it
I may not be out of place to say
the feeding was done by J. H.
1 Hampton and D. O. Slate of Miz
pah and by Charlie Carroll of the
same place.
This threshing outfit has
proved decidedly tint tractors
can be used successfully in
Stokes, and no doubt others wiil,
soon be brought into the county!
as they can be used not only for
i threshing, but also for hauling,
sawing, plowing, road dragging|
and other things.

Billiousness and Stomach Trouble,
"Two years ago I suffered
from frequent attacks of stom
ach trouble and billiousness,"
writes Miss Ema Verbyke, Lima,
Ohio. "I could eat very little
food that agreed with me and I
became so dizzy and sick at my
stomach at times that I had to
take hold of something to keep
from falling. Seeing Chamber

ed to try them. I improved rap

Whv Endure Summer Colds?
It isn't necessary to have a
stuffed head, running nose. To
cough your head off as it were.
All you need is to use Dr. Bell's
Pjne-Tar-Honey. The soothing
and healing balsoms open the
clogged air passages and in a
short Jtime you get relief and
start on the road to recovery.
Your nose stops running, you
cough less and you know you are
getting better. Get a bottle,
use as directed. Keep what is
left as a cough and cold insur
ance. I
