The event which is expected to . attract a large Audience from . both city and county will be held t in the Auditorium theatre, this . giving the largest seating capac -1 ity possible. Dr. L. H. Hill, of . Germanton, the champion old fid ■ dler of North Carolina and Vir ginia, has agreed to take part in the evening's entertainment, al though not competing for the prizes. He will also be in charge of the list of contestants. Three prizes are to be offered the best fiddlers who attend the j convention. The first prize will be sls in cash; the second $lO and the third $5. Dr. Hill's play ing is alone an evening's treat, as he has a number of old time mslodies and medleys, many of which are out of print, but all of the sweetest and most tuneful variety. The list of contestants is to be limited and Dr. Hill wishes to secure the names at once of fid dlers, old or young, who wish to, compete for the prizes or assist ! in the evening's entertainment, j Mandolin, guitar, banjo or the, plain old fiddle will be used.
