complete returns the majority
at present is around 70,000.
Stokes county gave Bailey

Meetings Called For June 21.
A call has been issued for
a convention of the Democrats
of Stokes county on Saturday,
June 28, at 2 o'clock P. M.
This meeting is for the purpose
of electing delegates to the
State convention at Raleigh,
which meets on July 3, and also
to name a chairman of the
county executive committee to
assume charge of the 1930
campaign and to serve two
years.
The Democrats are also tailed
to meet in precinct primaries
on Saturday, June 21, for tlv
purpose of electing precinct
committees.

In Saturday's primary Hon.
John D. Humphreys, Demo
cratic candidate for Judge in
the 12th District, received
practically all the Democratic
votes in Stoke county, led the
other two candidates, .Messrs.
Cooke and Hoyle in Davidson
county, and received a hand
some vote in Guilford county.
While lie did not receive
enough votes in the three coun
ties to nominate him. he hud
2714 more votes in the District
than Mr. Cooke and 3825 mora
than Mr. Hoyle.
