Jack Thore was here Tuesday in the interest of the Atlantic Joint Stock Land Bank of Ral eigh, of which he is field representative for several coun ties in this section of the State, including Stokes, Surry, Forsyth. Mr. Thore has announced him | self a candidate for the legisla ture from Stokes subject to the Democratic primary in June. I ™ ! ' Stokes Girl Is Honored The honor roll for the winter quarter at Appalachian State Teachers College contains one hundred two names. Forty coun ties and six States are represent ed. M., for the purpose of ejecting delegates to the State Republican Convention, and for the transac tion of such other matters as may propeitly come before the meeting.
