Taylor and children visited Mrs. John T. Simpson in Winston-Salem this week. County Agent S. J. Kirby ha: recently been confined to his home at Walnut Cove with ill ness. He is now much improved. R. P. Glidewell and several members of the family of Fred Glidewell. of Flatshoal section, have been recently ill with in fluenza. Stopped in to see Dick Fulton at Walnut Cove Monday. Mr. Fulton has been quite ill for some time, but is now somewhat im proved. Miss Nannie L. Pepper recent ly of Bethania. Forsyth county, has removed here and is oc cupying her newly remodeled cottage on upper Main Street. Mrs. S. Gilmer Sparger left Wednesday for Raleigh to join her husband, Hon. S. G. Sparger, member of the legislature, and to attend the Governor's reception and ball this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Tilley visited Danbury Friday from Davis farm, a mile south of town. Mr. Tilley sustained a stroke of paralysis some months ago, and is yet quite feeble from the ef fects of his illness. Jas. W. Young, of Meadow, township, was here Tuesday. Mr. Young wrtio keeps himself well posted on public affairs, is a very bitter foe rof the sales tax and believes the law should be re pealed. He thinks the corpora lions should pay this tax rather than the fanners and the com mon people. Mrs. Nellie P. 'Sisk has taken over the postoffice here, the of fice now being installed in her store and cafe. Mr. and Mrs. H. M. JJoyce have recently been on the town's sicic list, but both are now improved. Miss Nell Joyce who ha« been spending a week at her home here attending the illness of her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Joyce, has returned to Winston-Salem, her parents being convalescent. Miss Joyce holds a position in the Twin City schools. Elmer Campbell, Fred Carter and Berkley Priddy went to the theatre lit Winston-Salem Monday Jftifbt. Mrs. Fulton Dead Just as the Reporter goes to press it is learned that Mrs. Nan nie Fulton died at her home in j Walnut Cove this evening at 1:30. Miss Luna Taylor Entertains Her Bridge Club Miss Luna Taylor entertained her bridge club Friday evening at . the home of her brother, E. M. ! Taylor.
