Death of Mrs. Stoudemire Mrs. Irene Slate Stoudemire wife of Sterline Stoudmire, pro fessor of Spanish in the Univer sity, died of a heart attack ai [{•.bout 10:30 o'clock last Saturdaj night at her home in Chapel Hill lon Gimghoul Road. She was thir ty-five years old. Mrs. Stoude mire was active in the civic an: tocial life of Chapel Hill. She wa: a grade mother at the school took part in the Parent Teacher | Association, and served as presi dent of the North Carolin. 'junior Garden Club. | The funeral services were hel Monday afternoon at the Firai Baptist Church, Spencer, when she lived until her marriage an: where her parents, Dr. and Mn W. C. Slate and her brother, Les ter H. Slate, live now. She survived by her husband and a daughter, Miss Marian Stoude mire. The floral offerings were un usually large and beautiful which was evidence of the esteem in which she was held. Rev. Lucius R. Evans, pastor and Rev. M. W. Gordon of Lin vill Falls, and Rev.
