In 1942 i he purchased a registered Jersey ■ heifer and in 1943 he bought an other registered Jersey that drop ped a heifer calf in that fall. At the promotional sale held at Dan bury last spring he bought anoth er registered Jeisey cow. Since that tia.e he lias been selling miiic on the local milk route. Not only does Roger own 400 laying hens this year, tut the poultry houses arc also his. The houses and extension to daily barn are valued at $575 00. The poultry is worth SOOO. an! the dairy cattle, $775. This gives him a total farm valu? of Sli^-O. Along the lines of honor, Rogei has been outstanding. In IPM he won a blue and a ribbon at the Piedmont Dairy Show sponsored by Coble Dairy Products Co. This year he won two blue ribbons. When Roger returns from the army he plans to pick up, carry on and expand his farming activ ities.
