From the Aslieville Citizen The Citizen is not prompted by any political animus when it de clares that this miserable exhibi tion of subservience to the Rough Rider should, and doubtless wili defeat Taft for the presidency. We have requisitioned our me mory in vain for a display equal to it. One life-long Republican stated to the writer yesterday that Taft made a colossal blunder when he announced through the Association Press that he would go to Oyster Bay for the purpose of submitting his speech to Presi dent Roosevelt, and there will doubtless be a small armv of American citizens holding the same opinion.
