ANNOUNCEMENT (Spray Baptist Church). Midiweek prayer service Wednes day evening, 7:30 o’clock, conducted by Mr; F. C. Cowan. After the ser vice there will be choir practice. A CARD OF THANKS I wish to thank The Ladies' Aid Society, the B. Y. P.- U the Sunday School and friends that sent me flow ers while I was in the hospital. * Mrs. Cabell Jones A LAST WORD J Since I, cannot be with you ort the l«st ,f& 'fate expiration of my pastorate, let me in this' way, say just this last word. * Let me say lint of all, that I have ‘tried .t^ be fpithful to God in pro- j . claimlng His* truth while I have been in your midst. We all fail inf our aims, but it has been my earnest en-| dsavoi and aim to declare unto you the whole council of God. f., Many of us can look back over our pact and see where we might have taken another road here or thejce; (but we cannot go over the past again. The future lies before us. The present is all we have sc let us grasp it with all our might. Let me express to you, each and every one, my gratitude for every kindness you have'shown me wSieri in your midst. Never shall I forget many, kind, helpful words that have been spoken to us, and numerous kind deeds that have been shown us. We rejoice in the progress that's been made daring our sojourn with you. The Sunday School has doubled in attendance and with the recent added equipment we trust the school will continue to grow rapidly. The B. Y. P. ■ U.‘ has made won derful progress recently. This is due to our yodtlg people themselves ar.d to their noble leaders. May the Lord bless these faithful leaders and their co-laborers is our prayer. Xhe^Lord, has greatly prospered us with decreased membership • in the church. We have now 294 members. Many, times during our regular • ser vices numbers of men and women, boys and girls have stepped out and accepted Christ. We feel like this was a direct answer to prayer. There art many others . whom we have prayed earnestly for who have not come- o.ut and. accepted Christ, but we -believe they will even yet do- so. May the Lord help them to decide even now. It is my earnest .prayer that you will, continue to prosper | and grow. May your next pastor lead you on hnd upward, and remember he can not lead unless yop follow. As a last word, let me assnre you that there’s warm place in my heart 'fft you. The storms of life may come and Veat hard upon the shore but never can they destroy my love for *oo. My last-request is, that you us, and may the grace of ;d Jesus Christ abide with you now and for ever more—Alnen. f;«Q special service. Rev. A. A.
