The game was slow and lasted one hour and fifty minutes. In the seventh inning a home run made by Mebane was disputed by the catcher of the visiting team and Dr. J. M. Thompson who was umpire, refused to continue the game after his ruling had been questioned so, there was a delay of about fifteen minutes, but things were finally fixed up and the playing resumed.
