The North, Carolina Division of the Trawlers Protective Associa tion of America, will assemble in our City tomorrow in annual Convention, and through the courtesy uf Mr. Burrvll II Marsh State Chairman of the Pre Committee we are pesenting the history of the Association from its organization. The Travelers Protective Asso ciation of America was organiezd June 3rd, 1890 with a handful of members, but by that predominat ing spirit -which the Commercial Traveler is blessed with, the or der has grown each year until to day it Ls recognized as a factor in the Commercial world. The only National Commercial Association which is thoroughly organized and equipped for the romf and active promotion of commercial interests, and to be long to which is a duty on the part of all commercial travelers and hdir employers. Steel Cars Pill before Con gress, making the use of steel passenger cars by railroads neces sary, was introduced bv the T. P. A. of A. , Established a reserve fund for the protection of its members. Organized in &l Suites, making one of the greatest National As sociations of traveling men in existence. Has established committees to look after Hotels, legislation. Worrell sheriff of Carroll County, to serve out the term of four year which Mr. Webb, the newly eta-ted sheriff killed in the HilLsville massacre, had just begun.
