Some weeks ago it was reported that the Hawley interests were to take over the coal corporation,, but Ibis was, denied by its omciaLs who "said that the railroad was liuilt to develop the coat lands and it would be- recliculous for these lands to be sold without the rail road which -was 'very plausible. The present report, however, in volves both lands and railroad. , The Clincbfield road now has one terminal at" Dante, Russell county Virginia, with - plans to extend into. Pike county Ken tucky, to .connect witb-tbeC. and O. branch from the main line, leaving it at Cattlesburg, Ky., on the Ohio, running down to Big Sandy river, very close to the di viding line between Kentucky and West.
