THE MAGNIFICENT Carolina closed its hospitable doors Friday morn ing after the most remarkable season in its history. A large number of its guests go The Holly Inn and other hotels of the Village to remain for some weeks yet. AIi and Mrs. James Boyd and Mrs. Dull of Pittsburg, will take a cottage and remain for an extended time. The Boyds have been delighted with Piue- hurst, and are so charmed with the climate that they have purchased land in the vicinity upon which they will build a winter home. Dr. and Mrs. Herbert J. Hall, infant daughter and nurse, of Marblehead, Mass., will be located at The Holly Inn for a week or ten days yet, previous to returning North. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. North, II. A. North and Miss Helen North, of Chicago, will go to The Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Squires and Charles B. Squires, Jr., of Railway, N. J., will remain several weeks longer. Mr. and Mrs. II. E. Rich of Buffalo, N. Y., are reluctant to return North ward and will stay several weeks longer. Mrs. Benjamin F. Ward, Master Ward and nurse of Passaic, N. J., plan to stay some weeks. The Misses Deming of Litchfield, Conn., are among those who will re main longer. Mr. Henry W. Baldwin and Mr. La throp E. Baldwin of New York, will be located at The Inn until the house closes. A PLEASANT feature of the week at The Harvard was a party in honor of the fifteenth birthday of Master Karl Abbott, son of Manager F. II. Abbott. Master Abbott's boy friends were his guests and an afternoon of games was brought to a close with a dainty lunch at which a birthday cake adorned by fifteen candles, was cut. Master Abbott's guests included : William Ketehatn, Arthur C. Ketcham, Jr., Oliver Champlin, Ken neth Bradbury, Itusseli Jones, Levi Jones, Charles McDonald, George Hayes and Howard Stewart. HOUSE STILL FILLED. The house is still filled and there is no sign of a decrease as yet. Many guests will remain through May and others are coming to enjoy the beauties of Spring. An air of comfort, good cheer and sociability reigns here which makes life delightfully home-like for the guests. P AMONG THE GUESTS. Mr. O. II. P. Champlin, Buflalo, N. Y"., joins his family for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. William L. Bidwell, Windsor, Conn., come for several weeks visit, Mr. W. M. Scott, Washington, D. C, was a guest during the week. Mrs. G. B. McGregor, Portland, Me., will remain until the first of May. Air. D. C. Heath, Boston, Mass,, joins Air. and Mrs. Edgar M. Smith. Mrs. 11. J.
