Prof. Trev. Sharp, who has been in
charge of the music here for many years,
returns for the season and as usual, brings
with him most excellent orchestras. Few
resorts are favored with a higher class
of music than is furnished under his
direction.
The coming of the orchestras is si source
of delight to all the guests of the Village
who are always welcome at the hotel
concerts. The first of the Sunday even
ing concerts took place this week and
they will be continued regularly through
out the season. A series of informal
dances have also been begun which are
much elijoyed by the younger set.
The Carolina orchestra of which Prof.
Sharp will be in charge after the opening
of this hotel, will include Miss Florence
Fletcher, violin; Miss Lena Henderson,
cello; Mr. Frank Petit, flute; Mr. Herbert
Marston, clarinent ; Mr. Anthony Tafuri,
cornet ; Mr. Walter Popes, bass ;.and Miss
Gertrude M. Lufkin, piano.

Thanksgiving day dawned clear, balmy
and beautiful and was pleasantly ob
served by the Village guests.
There were services of the church in
the Village Hall and a golf tourney in
The morning following which came din
ner and a quiet afternoon devoted to
walking, riding or driving. In the even
ing many gathered at The Holly Inn to
enjoy the music or dance. "

E. L. Merrow, the photographer, re
turns and is opening up his studio. His
line of souvenirs, novelties, needlework,
etc., will be even more complete than in
the past.

Mrs. J. JJ. Pogers and Miss X. L. Ath
erton, of Prookline, Mass., have gone
after a pleasant two weeks stay.
Mr. Warren Munroe will again return
to The Holly Inn as leader of the orches
tra and will have with him Miss Margaret
Jenkins, piano; Mr. A. Dammeyer, clari
net; Mr. F. Dietyl, cello.
