PAGE THE PINEHURST OUTLOOK AN EVENING OF MIRTH Megaceptalic Mastodon Minstrels at Holly Inn Christmas Eve. Program Will Embrace VTual Olio and Speclaltieii Mimical, Athletic and Terpwiclioreaii All Invited. 7W I T GIVES us great pleas ure to announce that the remarkable aggrega tion of stars known as the Megaeephalie Masto don Minstrels, have been secured by the Manage ment reyardless of expense, to give one of their astounding performances in the music room of The Holly Inn, on Christ mas eve. To those who are spending their Christ mas away from home, and who wish to forget their absent ones in an evening of mirth, this announcement will bring joy; while those weary souls whose ai pt'tites have been satiated with a season of grand opera and immense theatrical productions in large cities, will appreciate the fact that this is different. It differs from the ordinary minstrel show, in that it has among its members both men and women, thus giving that little dash of femininity which lends llavor to the whole. The time-worn gags of the end man, well-known to all theater goers, will hardly dare venture forth when they know that end women as well as ml men are to convey them to the audience. It will hardly be necessary to give in detail the various attractions. There will be the usual first part olio of the latest coon songs and sentimental ballards, inter spersed by scintillations of wit and humor from those stars of minstrels', Mesde moiselles Washington and Snowdon, and Messieurs Duke and .Jackson in some of whom the audience may trace a certain resemblance to old friends. The second part will consist of a large number of specialties, musical, athletic and terp sichorean introducing two monologists, who may have something to say about local conditions, the famous Crockabjo l'oy Orchestra, and banjo and guitar artists. It is hoped that the company may be induced to respond to the earnest request f many admirers, and give at the con clusion of the entertainment, some of the old Christmas carols which are said to be in its repertoire. There is a rumor that a certain famous amateur, not a regular member of the company, has been en gaged to give one of the most successful numbers of a recent amateur musical l'loduction, but as yet that is only a rumor. The performance will begin at 9:45 clock, and the festivities will be con tinned until the stroke of twelve. No Emission will be charged, but a collection be taken for the benefit of the Christ mas Tree Fund, to which the eomoanv 1 ' X was pledged a portion of the proceeds, and Jiy balance will be given to the organ fund of the Episcopal congregation of me town. It is hoped that the offerings "wy oe very liberal. THAI SIIOOTINO SWEEPS, gemi-Weeklj Contests are Developing- Some Clofie Scores.
