score of 4 up, and 3 to play. L. T. Boyd,
of Milwaukee, took the consolation
medal, defeating Frank Presbrey of
New York, 3 up, and 2 to play.
George C. Dutton of Boston, won the
second division, or William L'andolph
Hearst troph)', from W. II. .Ilotchkin of
Moutclair, X. J., by a score of 2 up and
1 to play, and A. I. Creamer of Xorth
Conway, X. II., had an easy victory over
George C. Gardener of Springfield,
Mass., in the consolation, winning 4 up
and 3 to play.

pulled through a winner of the third di
vision or Lord and Thomas trophy, de
feating Dr. F. Shavoir of Stamford,
Conn., 1 up, 19 holes, in the final round,
and A. S. Brownell of Xew York, 1 up
on 20 holes, in the semi-finals. A. 8.

tion medal easily, from J. A. Ted ford of
Bye, X. Y., by the liberal margin, of 6

the fourth division or Chicago Tribune
trophy, after a hole for hole battle with
M. II. Marlin of Xew Haven, Conn.,
whom he defeated 1 up, and James Me
Cuteheon of Xew Yrork, took the conso
lation from B. W. Carter of Meriden,
Conn., by a score of 4 up and 3 to play.
C. II. Eddy of Xew York, secured the
tilth division, or Presbrey-Freeman
trophy, from S. B. Ayres of White
Plains, X. Y., by a score of 4 up and 3 to
play, and W. S. L. Hawkins of Spring
lield, Mass., took the consolation from
M. B. Byrnes of Xew York, by a score
f 3 up and 2 to play.

The Holly Inn is one of the most attractive hotels in the South. Since H was
