There icasn't the faintest suggestion of a "plot," but there was a "baby elephant," and the antics of its trunk and its tail were a whole show in themselves, at which the audience laughed until tired. The suet ess of this, the second annual pei formance, gives the minstrels a per manency, and their annual appearance will, in future, be anticipated with pleas ure from year to year. The audience present each evening was representative of all departments of the Village, and included a large percentage of jmests. The April Delineator. To the woman of fashion the April Ddiuentor will be more than welcome, for it contains an array of attractive gar ments that will enable her to select and develop in her own home everything necessary for any occasion. Apart from matters of style, there are two stories by well-known writers : "The Flight of Jim Charles," by Albert Bigelow Paine, and "The Stolen Speech," by Joseph A. Alt sheler. To the many good things usually provided for the children, two exception ally bright stories have been added; and for the busy woman in the home every thing pertaining to the inner working of the household is touched on in the various departments. : " '.1.1 ff jf "'ill .
