Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Fleming of Phila
delphia, are here for a long visit and
forming many pleasant acquaintances.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Skutch, child
and maid of Baltimore, will remain in
definitely. Mr. and Mrs. Lr P. Clausen of Hamil
ton. Ohio, will spend several weeks here.
Mr. and Mrs. II. S. Sherman of Cleve
land, Ohio, plan a short stay.
Mrs. A. Burnell and maid and Mrs. R.
C. Carson of Charlotte, come for De
cember. .
Mrs. C. Montrose and Mr. George II.
Montrose of New York, will remain
through the coming week.
Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Dolsonof New York,
left yesterday after a two weeks visit,
much to the regret of many acquaint
ances. They have been active in sports
and pleasures and their presence will be
missed.

Prominent among the late arrivals are
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Merriman, Miss Stifel
and Miss Elizabeth Stifel of Wheeling,
West Virginia, who join Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Stifel. They have formed many
delightful acquaintances and are a wel
come addition to the younger set.
Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Wilson and little
daughter of Pittsburg, return for the
winter. Mrs. Wilson is a charming
woman who has many warm friends here,
an active figure in outdoor sports and
social pleasures. ,
Mrs. F. C. Gray and Miss Gray of
Pittsburg, spent a portion of the week
here on a return visit, and ,will be back
later for a more extended stay.
Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Pendleton of War
renton, N. p., have gone after a short
honeymoon here, part of the time being
spent in the hunting field.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert M. Schott of New
York, come for a long sojourn. Mr.
Schott is enthusiastic over horseback
riding.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Hilton of
Washington, D. C, return for an ex-

will remain through the Holidays and is
planning to return with the opening of
The Carolina, for the season.
Mr. Nat. S. Hurd of Pittsburg, is back
for a return visit and golf.
Mr. II. A. Waldron of Providence, re
turns for a short stay.
Mr. Aug. F. Brombacher of Brooklyn,
is here for a return visit. Mr. Brom
bacher has been an annual visitor for
many years and has a large circle of ac
quaintances. ' '
Mr. T. R. Newbold of Washington,
comes for a winter's golf and will be
joined soon by his family. '
Col. J. W. Gaulbert of Louisville, Ky.,
will spend six weeks here, dividing his
time between golf and quail shooting.
Mr. Edwin Beach of Orange, N. J.,' will
remain until after the first of the year.
