Others enjoying the evening in eluding : Mesdames Harris, Curtis, Pardy, Kenwick, Johnson, Metcalf and Hudson; Misses Kenwick and McLeod : Messrs Creamer, Metcalf, Mitchell, Johnston, Pushee, Tolles and Parmelee. Four golf ball prizes were provided in the Monday afternoon indoor putting competition by Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Jolly, Mr. F. A. King of Northboro, Mr. Charles B. Fownes of Pittsburg, Miss M. Belle Conley of Brooklyn, Mrs. Joseph L. Woolston of Philadelphia, and Mrs. II. A. Harris of Chicago leading, Mrs. Woolston winning in a tie play-off with Mrs. Harris. Others who participated were Mesdames Fuller, Jameson, Harris and Tracy; Misses Renwbk, Linton, liemsen, Hepburn, Check and Conley; Messrs. Nicholson, Parmelee, Becker, Dye, Ladd, Check, Mackay, Martel, Bel den, Heinz, Curtis, Dr. Wilson, Morse, Tracy, Thomas, Clark, Mitchell, Mc Laughlin, Littlejohn, Ingersoll, Harding, Pushee and Johnston. AMONG THE GUESTS. Mr. and Mrs. II. E. Wells of Southbrldge, are here for an indefinite stay. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lucking of Detroit, will remain through February. Mrs. Alexander Balrd and Mr. Gordon G. Baird of Rochester, come for a long sojourn. Mr. and Mrs. Julius II. Raud of Manchester, CI., are here for the month to come. Mr. II. J. Heinz of Pittsburg, joins his son. Mr. Thomas S. Jamison of Greensburg, Fa., and Mr. F. B. M jFelly of Latrobe, are here for a fortnights golf. Mr. Benjamin Graham and Mr. Geoffrey Gra ham of Montclair, are making a two weeks visit. Dr. W. S. Parker of Boston, comes for an in definite stay. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Holmes of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, spent a portion of the week here. Others who registered during the week were Mr. and Mrs. S. II. Burnham and Mr. and Mrs. T.M.Raymond, Jr. of Lincoln, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Sumner and child of Chicago. Mr and Mrs. H. G. Co3S of New York, come for an indefinite stay, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Aborn and child of Orange, and Mr. B. Aborn of East Orange, return for tbsir usual sojourn. Mr. T. E. Jones of Pittsburg, comes for two weeks golf. Mr. and Mrs. George D. Boschen and Miss Dorothea Boschen of New York, come for an extended visit. Mr. and Mrs, G. F. Berry and Mrs. Cornelia Bush of Frankford, Ky., return and will remain through February. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Morton of Albany, re turn for their annual visit. Mrs. A. L. Dermis and Miss M. B. Jenkins of Boonton, N. J., return and will remain until early spring. Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Smith of New London, Conn, are here for several week's golf. Mr. W. J. McGurk of South Manchester, re turns for two weeks golf. Mr, A. S. Westfall of New York, is here for golf and will remain through February. Mr. R. B. Parker, Jr., of Providence, comes for an indiflnite stay. Mr. C. Morgan of Akron, O., is making a short visit. Village CIul Meets Wednesday. The regular meeting of the Pinehurst Village Club will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2-30 in The Holly Inn Dutch Room. HE annoucement of a Bridge party in Tho Car olina Music hall Monday evening, next, for which a general invitation is extended, is received with pleasure by the entire colony, for none of the season's less formal affairs are more generally enjoyed. Special interest is attached- to this event owing to the fact that handsome prizes have been very kindly donated by a friend of the Village club, and the pro ceeds are to be used to swell the Bazaar fund. Play will begin promptly at 8:30 entrance fee fifty cents, payable at the desk. Hunting- at Fort Myers. fort myers, fla., Jan. 26 Messrs S. Thurston Ballard, W. Christy Church ill, R. C. Ballard Thurston and Credo F. Harris of Louisville, Ky., guests at the Hotel Royal Palm, Fort Myers, Florida, with Dave Poole and Kennedy Carson as native guides, have just returned from a merry hnnting trip and pronounce the shooting as excellent. The party spent five days about fifty miles out and took for their hunting ground the section around Rocky Lake. They succeeded in bag ging twelve fine turkey and two deer and the game was indeed a credit to their ability. The party are anticipating many more pleasant trips and state that Fort Myers and vicinity afford every advantage for the sportsman. Billy" Barron in Bermuda. The many acquiintances of Mr. W. A. Barron of the Barron, Merrill and Barron Company, owners of numerous White Mountain hotels, will learn with pleasure that he has assumed manage ment of the Hamilton Hotel, Bermuda.
