February inaugurates the larger of the
winter's golf tournaments of which the
seventh annual St. Valentine's contest,
February 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, is the first.
The entrance will not be less than one
hundred and fifty and six regular divi
sions and not less than two special divi
sions are provided for with a gold medal
for the best qualification score and cups
for the match play division winners and
runners-upand the consolation division
winners.
For the week following on the 15, 16,
17 and 18, the fifth annual St.Valentine's
golf tourney for women is scheduled.
Men's Singles tennis are booked for the
coming week and the weekly Handicap
trap shooting tournaments also begin.

Irving C. Wright of Boston and Hen
ry C. Bridget's of Tarboro, N. C.,meet in
the finals of the first annual Midwinter
tennis tournament as The Outlook
goes to press. In the Women's event
Mrs. C. F. Hager of Lancaster and Mrs.
11. C. King of New Canaan, play and in
the Men's doubles Messrs. Wright and
Bissell and Bridgers and Gardner.
Supper at tbe Gun Club
The first of the Gun Club cabin sup
pers was enjoyed Thursday evening, fire
light stories and songs rounding out the
evening. In the group were : Mr. and
Mrs. II. W. Brower, Mr. and Mrs. E. B.
Aymar, Misses Sewall, Boyd, Watters,
Lewis; Messrs Gardner, Nalle, Durstine,
Norton.
