Aflairs out of doors have also claimed their share of atten tion with interest centered in the annual Holiday week golf tournament, quail Mr. and Mrs. William II. Browning, Mr. William II. Browning, Jr., and Miss Therese D. Browning of New York are welcomed back for the Holidays. Mr. and Mrs. William It. Waters of Philadelphia return for their annual visit. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Thompson of Phil adelphia are again here for January. President Joseph Swain of Swarth inore College comes with Mrs. Swain. Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Eddy of Ridge wood are spending several weeks here ; their son, Mr. Charles L. Eddy and his friend Mr. Spencer L. Jones of Philadel phia joining them for the Holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Norton and the Misses Helen and ltuth Norton of Hempstead return to remain until after the New Year. Messrs. It. L. Jewett of Aberdeen, S. D., Donald N. Jewett of Granville, 0., Robert R. Jewett of Williamstown, Mass., and David W. Jewett of Cornwall, Conn, spent the week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. It. N. For the coming week, the first of the season's more formal dances is planned in Monday evening's New Year's cotillion at The Inn. Special in terest centering in the opportunities leap year offers. The opening march is at nine and refresh ments will be served at intermission. At The Ilollj Inn Prof. Herbert E. Cushman of Tufts College returns for the Holidays, joining Dr. John Woodman. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Williams and Miss Kelley of Huntington are completing a short visit. Mrs. Charles Todd Parks of New York joins Mr. Parks. Mr. and Mrs. W. Harper of Appleton are completing a short visit. Messrs. J. A. Richards and T. A. Cooke of Hawaii spent the week here. Master C. T. Clark of Spokane spent the week with his parents. Mr. A. A. Stagg and Master Stagg of Chicago remain several weeks. Mr. Walter J. Travis, editor of The American Golfer, comes for a brief visit, and will return later for a longer visit.
