PIIVEIIITI18T LG4I) AGAIN Worcitr is Playing- the Kick Coif of Village Youngsters Two weeks ago The Outlook an nounced kick golf as the latest diversion of the youngsters. This week The Wor cester Telegram prints the attached. 1 As always, Pinehurst leads. KICK GOLF IS THE LATEST GAME If, when the ground is again cleared, or even before the snow is gone, one sees his usually staid and precise neigh bor kicking a ball along the street he may be intent on the new game of kick golf which is highly recommended to reduce the mania for batting a ball over miles of country and steadily pursuing it. Kick golf is something new. When a fellow starts from home for the office or shop he takes a golf ball from his pocket and begins to kick it. His purpose is to see how few kicks it will take him to cover the distance from his home to the office or other place of business. The usual rules and penalties for lift ing the ball from a bad lie, lost ball and the like can be readily applied, and to all intents and purposes the player can get as much excitement as he can on the best appointed course. If he kicks the ball down a catchbasin, the location of which he hasn't been aware of, he can swear as vigorously as a golfer on any course when he slices the ball and it goes off into the woods some where. When the kick golfer bangs the ball through a plate glass window, the game has an advantage that the regular game can never show. The kick golfer can swear and so can the plate glass owner. The kick golfer can try for distance and accuracy just the same as the golfer with the club, and the game might re quire even more care and discernment for each kick golfer to keep track of his own ball. If everybody got to playing the game a fellow would have plenty of opportu nity to quarrel with other players over the ownership of a ball, and he might take an occasional bit of exceptional de light by taking a kick at the shins of some other kick golf player. When a fellow gets through his work he can play the game all the way home. He may have kicked himself out by the time he gets there, and perhaps the folks at home will secretly thank the man who invented kick golf. Join Mr. and Mrs. llurd Mrs. J. G.
