Flood Tide of Gariti at th
Carolina
The ball room of the Carolina was
appropriated by the children of the vil
lage and their guests Thursday after
noon for their party, and great prepara
tions for a Washington's Birthday dance
were in progress just as we go to press.
We shall give a further account of these
affairs in our next issue. The coming
of Spring in the Carolinas and the de
scent of the polar circle to the latitude
of Sandy Hook has persuaded a long
list of our old friends from Gotham to
join the circle at the Club House. Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph H. Choate and Miss
Marion Choate are here for several
weeks' stay. Mr. and Mrs. William
Nichols have broken away from the war
business for a few days' rest. Com
mander Elia has returned with the Mar
quise Spinola as his guest. Kaymond
Balfe has commenced his perrenial visit.
And the tide from Boston is coming in.
Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Wing, Miss Kath
arine Wing, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph 0.
Proctor, Warren Manning, the landscape
achitect, head the list, which includes a
long roll as follows:
