The delay in publication was due to
the lack of a Linotyper.
A Linotyper is not a machine but
is a man, a Brother and an Alibi. It
was, we would like you all to under
stand, the linotyper who was solely
and invariably responsible for the
omission of the winner of the putting
contest, and for your wrong score in
the qualifying round, and for any and
all mistakes in spelling, punctuation
and construction which may have ap
peared in the Outlook on occasions,
and for your copy of the paper having
been sent to a wrong address, ami for
all other sins of omission and com
mission which have been brought to
our attention from time to time. Yoa
see, we have suffered in dignity and in
silence, up to the present time, but
as the linotyper, who was a husky in
dividual, has gone up North, we feel
we owe this explanation to you, to
ourselves and to our temporarily ab
sent Editor.
OUR LAST TWO ISSUES
Every day, of late, we have been re
ceiving an increasing number of let
ters referring, politely and otherwise,
to the non-delivery of The Outlook, of
February 1 and February 8.
We beg to offer our thanks for these
evidences of interest and to explain
that although those two particular is
sues were the best and most complete
Numbers ever written, they were un
fortunately not published. Our No. 11
came out on January ,25th. This,
our 12th perpetration of -the season,
