THE PINEHURST OUTLOOK mm learned from the war, I don't believe it will mean more to us than what we have gotten from coming through here as we did. From what we have awn there is no doubt the Boches were completely licked. I can't see how they lasted as long as they did. 'The civilians had nothing to eat and from their looks have very little for the past two years. Frank D. Shamburger, 1st Lieut., Co. A., 3rd Machine Gun Bat., 1st Div., Army Oc cupation, Girod, Germany. BECKER GRABS The Honors in the Round Robin. Wins Qualifying Round and Chief Trophy C. L. Becker and over 60 other Tin Whistles took part in the annual Kound Robin, on Friday and Saturday, February 14, 15. Becker won the qualifying round with a 43-42, 85 on Number Two, and then proceeded on the following day to dispose of the three other players who had won their way into the Best Gross Four. The Big Four comprised Becker, Tom Kel ley, H. G. Phillips and C. B. Fownes, and Becker had considerable difficulty in getting rid of that Kelley person. In fact, Becker was 4 down to Kelley at the turn. J. M. Robinson was best net, at 75, and annexed the prize for that depart ment of the qualifying round, i The total permitted to qualify was 20, the Best Gross Four and four Handicap Fours.
