THE PINEHURST OUTLOOK THE HORSE SHOW (Concluded from puye one) Lightweight Hunters to Jump. Garrett Conger's gallant Rockett -was another horse to carry off more than one blue ribbon winning in. Class 13, Heavyweight Hunters to Jump, and also in Class 15, Jumping, Open to all Hunters. North Carolina entries carried off the first in the harness classes, J C Thomas Virginia T, winning in "Class 2, Road sters in Harness while the first in the Pacers in Harness, Class 4, went to Morine, entered by J. C. Cochran of Charlotte. The blue in the Gaited Saddle Horses Class, No. 8, went of course to Mrs. Donald Parson's celebrated Tatters. Just onco during the afternoon were the Judges' at a loss and that was when the Extra Class (Shetland Ponies) was passed in review. The apparently in superable difficulty was finally settled by awarding first prizes to both Laddie and Beegle Mancle shown by Mrs. Evelyn Spencer and the award of the Judges was finally announced as in favor of Mrs. Thomas' splendid entry whose portrait painted by Signor Mer row, is published somewhere or other in the present issue. CLASS NO 1. Running Horses in Hand. Stallion, Mare or Gelding. To be judged by appearance in ring, sound ness and conformation. Racing per formance not to count. First Prize, $25.00 Second Prize, $15.00. Third Prize, $10.00. Porin, N. S. Hurd, Pinehurst, first. Ray-O-Light, Marshall Hall, Pine hurst, second. Uncle Sam, J. Hayden Preston, Prov idence, third. CLASS NO. 2. Roadsters in Harness. Stallion, Mare or Gelding, three years old or over. Records not to be consid ered. Performance and .conformation to count. First Prize, $25.00. The most popular victory of the hole afternoon was the one achieved 'r Frances Thomas and Lieut. Gordon Cameron, as the best pair of Riders in Class 12., The Special Class the final and big event of the day was limited to the win ners of the saddle horse classes Lieut. Col. McEnery 's Lady Babbie, Mrs. I 'arson 'a Tatters, Marshall Hall's Ray Light, and Beegle Mancle, entered V Mrs. P. C. Thomas of Rome who Had ('med off the blue in Class 3, baddle Worses under 15-2 The contest was son narrowed . down to Lady Babbie $15.00. Third Prize, $10.00. Virginia T., J. C. Thomas, Pinehurst, first. Gentry Dictator, J. C. Edan, Fay etteville, second. The Cob, H. H. Johnson, Cleveland, third. CLASS NO. 3. Saddle Horses. To be judged by their quality and manners. Horses over 14-2 and not ex ceeding 15-2. To be shown in walk, trot and canter. First Prize: Trophy, donated by Mrs. L. Tufts. Second Prize: Tropy, donated by Mr. Hayden Preston.
