THE APRIL .TENNIS TOURNEY (Continued from Page 4) forehand shot into deep court for the decision at 6 4. Miss Sigourney put up a splendid bat tle against Miss Zinderstein in the wo men's final, and held her even up to 4-all in the opening set. The first five games of the second session were also closely contested, but after that the loser tired and could score only twice in the last three games. Miss Zinderstein finishing brilliantly with a love game. The point score was as follows: FIRST SET Pts. G. Miss Zinderstein 643 145 054 4366 Miss Sigourney 405 413 472 1314 SECOND SET Miss Zinderstein 516 624 44326 Miss Sigourney 344 441 10212 The victory of Voshell and Hardy in the doubles was due chiefly to the re markable headwork of the veteran, who repeatedly outguessed both of his op ponents and placed the ball in the smallest of openings. Tilden was wild and tried to cover too much ground, with the result that after the first set his side never had a chance, in spite of Shafer 's steady play. The mixed final was an overwhelming triumph for the champion combination. Miss Zinderstein and Miss Gilleaudeau were always superior to Mrs. Briggs and Miss Delia Torre in the last of the wo men 's doubles matches. POLICE DOGS Meadow Brook Farm, Hempstead, L.
