The Southern Hotel Men's Association
opened their annual convention in the
Carolina Hotel at Pinehurst on Wednes
day moring, December 15, and will re
main in session Wednesday and Thurs
day. The convention was opened with Presi
dent B. H. Griffin presiding. An ad
dress of welcome was delivered by Mr.
Leonard Tufts, which was responded to
by Mr. A. T. Moore, of the Virginia
Hotel, Staunton, Va. Mr. E. M. Statler,
president of the Statler chain of hotels
in the north, arrived Wednesday and will
address the convention on ' The Immedi
ate Future of the Hotel Business."
