Windle of the1 Worcester Country Club and Willie Wilson, professional of York Harbor, defeated A. A. Heath, Worcester Country Club, and Walter Howe, the Tatnuck Club professional, by the nar row margin of 1 point. The most sen sational play, of the round was a 50 foot putt sunk by Walter Howe from off the home green, which gave him a round of 75, the best medal score of the quar tet. Howe and his professional col league Wilson had a best ball of 68. Another interesting amateur-professional match played on the same day, was that of Donald Parson of Chevy Chase and Charles Mothersele, Pinehurst profes sional and Maine Open Champion, who defeated A. L. Blue of Aberdeen and Emmet French, Youngstown professional, by 3 and 2. Parson and Mothersele in dulged in some excellent team work and finished with a best ball of 71. Large galleries turned out to follow the matches. DOUGLAS EDGAR TO SAIL FOR ENGLAND IN FEW DAYS Douglas Edgar of the Druid Hills Club, Atlanta, and Canadian and South ern Open Champion, who finished second in the recent Amateur-Professional Best Ball Tournament at Pinehurst, played his farewell match of the season at Pine hurst a few days ago and left for his home in Atlanta preparatory to his sail ing for England.
