Barlow and Emmet French turned in a best ball of 67 and wron by a comfortable margin against Mrs. Dorothy Campbell Hurd and Parker W. Whittemore. French went around in 36-33 69, and was as sisted on two holes by Mrs. Barlow, whose individual round was 85 and was the only one of the quartette to get a 3 on the sixth hole. French's fine round began with birdies on the first, third and fifth holes and ended with a putt from off the green for a birdie 3 on the diffi cult eighteenth. One of the outstand ing features of the round was Whitte more 's 33 for the return trip. He did not hit his stride until after the turn had been made and took 40 for the first nine, but came strong on the last nine and barely missed getting a record of 32. His 8core was 40-33 73. This was Mrs Barlow's farewell match for the season at Pinehurst, as she will sail on April 2 for England, where she will compete in the British championship event. The building is used for Sunday School in the morning and preaching ser vices each Sunday evening. The Presbyterian Church, organized last June, has charge of the services the first and third Sunday evenings. Rev. Mr. Cheatham very generously gives his services the other Sunday even ings. The only revenue from the building is the rental paid by the Woodmen of the World for the upper hall, and the rent paid by the Presbyterian Church. For several years Mrs. Tufts has col lected clothing for rummage sales which have helped on the interest payments. The rents and evening offerings pay the running expenses and insurance, but do not help on the debt or repairs. The Trustees would appreciate any contribution. J. Bruce Cameron, A. J. Fry, A. C.
