The occasion was a Christmas party for children arranged and conducted by Mr. and Mrs. F. Clare Boustead. Santa Claus was present in full regalia and presented the gifts. There was a peanut hunt, peanut auction, dancing and most every kind of game imaginable. Hubert O'Brien acted as Drummer and entertained with several selections. Among those present were Teddy Scofield, Lynn and Louise McDonald, Virginia Brown, Janet Wiggins, Francis Parson, Jackie Swoope, Nancy Johnston, Nabuo Ito, Helen Butterfield, Cora Swoope, Lillian Ross, Florence Wiggins, Anne Winton, Mary Beldon, Frances Fox, Arnold White, Sherburne Merrill, George and Wil liam Parson, Charles . Swoope, Hubert O'Brien, John Bradford Armstrong and Spencer Brown. o Many of the younger set spent their Christmas vacations in Pine hurst with parents and friends. A large number of the boys took part in the Father and Son tournament on Christmas Day and the following three days a tournament, exclusively for the youngsters, was held. George T. Dunlap, Jr., and Walter Swoope tied, at 46, for the best score in the qualifying round but were not so fortunate at match play and the championship trophy was won by Forbes Wilson. Other division winners were Chick Edson, William Par son, Charles Swoope and Billy Fuller. A full account of the tourna ment will be given in the next issue of the Outlook. Men's Shops West 38th and 37th Sts. New York The holidays have been full of delightful teas, dinners and dances. Among those entertaining were Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Wolvin, of Montreal, who had as their guests at Christmas dinner at the Carolina, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Moles, Lt. Col. I. H. Hough, Mrs. E. Warren and Miss A. Warren, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Hathaway and Mr. P. R. Walters. The table was prettily decorated with red carnations and evergreens and Christmas favors. 0 Another dinner at the Carolina that evening was that of Mr. P. W. Thomson, who had as his guests Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Waring, Mrs. Oglesby, Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Barr, Miss Caroline Bogart and Mr. Howard Phillips. 0 At the Country Club on Friday afternoon Mr. Glen Covert enter tained a number of his young friends at tea and dancing. His guests were the Misses Betty and Sara Grayson, Louise Emery, Ann Merrill, Patience Winchester and Messrs. Lambert Splane, Ellis Heath, Francis Harrison, John F. Dailey, Allen Dailey and James Tufts. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Byron V. Covert entertained at a wild duck dinner at the Carolina on Tuesday evening. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. George M. Howard and Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Howard, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Magoon, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Truesdell, Dr. and Mrs. Myron W. Marr, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ellis, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Merrill and Mrs. A. A. Heath. Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Bass were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Humphrey Spaulding at dinner at the Mid-Pines Club on Tuesday evening. Mrs. F. A. Seibert entertained informally at bridge at the Caro lina Monday afternoon, her guests being Mrs. Arthur S. Newcomb, Mrs. H. E. Moles and Mrs. H. W. Priest. The prize winners at the Monday morning bridge party at the Carolina this week were Mrs. Malgas, Mrs. Alley, Mrs. Moles, Mrs. Long, Mrs. Wetmore and Mrs. Roulette. n
