The winners at the Monday morning bridge party at the Carolina
this week were : Mrs. Arthus S. Newcomb, Mrs. R. C. Blancke, Mrs.

Mrs. J. T. Newton entertained a number of her friends for bridge
and tea at her home, LaCassita, on Thursday last. Prizes were won
by Mrs. Russell Wiggins and Miss Wiggins. Among the other

Tuesday evening, invitations being broadcasted over the sandhills.
Mrs. Baldwin is well-known in and about Pinehurst as Miss Isabel
Bruce, who is now on her honeymoon.
Preceding the dance Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Page entertained
at dinner at Mid-Pines for Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Lovering, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Page, Mr. and Mrs. James
Boyd, Mrs. Arthur W. Page, Miss Harriet Fletcher, Mr. and
Mrs. J. A. Tuckerman, Mrs. C. G. Loring, and Messrs. Paul
Dana, J. V. Healy, B. Kent and R. Richards.

Mr. F. W. Agan and family of Ludlow,. Vermont, have taken
apartments in the Cloverleaf and have arrived for the winter.

Mr. W. H. Saart, of Attleboro, Mass., who is visiting at the
Pine Bluff Inn, Pine Bluff, N. C, bagged a twenty-pound wild
turkey last week while hunting in Scotland County. Mr. Saart, as
well as the natives of Pine Bluff, is rather pleased with his prize.
