The Horse Show THE sixth annual Horse Show, under the auspices of the Pinehurst Jockey Club, was held on Tuesday and Wednes day of this week with 172 entries in 41 classes. There was a large number of exhibitors and the show was particularly notable for the quality of horses shown. J. R. Maddox, of Warrenton, Va., judged the Hunters and Jump ers, and J. Garner West, of Garnerville, N. Y., judged the Saddle horses. Horses in harness were judged by Dr. G. B. Giltner, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and F. H. Post, of East Williston, L. I., made the awards in the polo pony classes. The Good Time Stable's Straight Street won the blue as champion harness horse, and the champion running horse was awarded to Ballot Mark, entered by P. S. P. Randolph. Miss Helen Waring carried off the honors as the best girl rider, while similar honors were awarded to Henry Dingley as the best boy rider. The championship for polo ponies went to Sid, entered by the Sand Hill Polo Club. Play Fair, C. T. Crocker's fine hunter, won the blue as champion in the hunters classes, and Miss Virginia Thomas' Vanity Fair swept all before it in the saddle horse cham pionship. Adjutant, Mrs. M. R. B.
