Those taking the course are Mrs. Brldgers, Miss Martin, Miss Edwards, Miss Lassiter, Mrs. Garriss, Mr. Britt, Mr. Hamilton, Mr. Ricks and Mr. PEANUT BAGS Due to conditions in Vietnam and India, price of burlap bags has gone up quite o bit. He was at home from the Navy where he is studying for the Medical Corps. Mrs. Hannah Vaughan, former teacher and school board mem ber at Woodland-Olney School, substituted for Miss Lovette last week. Miss Edwards took F rldayof last week and the weekend to see the World’s Fair. The freshmen and seniors who might have ragged their teachers for not taking the tuberculin skin test with them last week should be told that every teacher had had it, or a chest X-ray, or both before the end of the first month of school. Football players will make a switch to makeup in the game Thursday night, October 21, when Miss Edwards fields her girls in the “Powder Puff’ football game against the Scotland Neck Scotties at NCHS. The Girls Monogram Club is sponsoring the match. Kickoff time is eight o’clock and admis sion is 25?, Driver education, being taught by Mr. Britt, started this week with a total attendance of 25 stu dents. The course being taught dur ing the school term is primarily for students not able to take the summer course. Any student who is 16 years of age or who will be 16 before the summer driver ed ucation starts, may enroll in the school-term session. The positions on the NCHS Student Council are now fully named, representatives having been elected from each home room. The senior representatives are Lynn Brown, Sandra Edwards, Margaret Lassiter, Patricia Martin, Celeste Spence andSarah Stephenson. Representatives from the jun ior class are Ann Bowers, Sham ra Daniel, Terry Johnson, Keith Moseley, Kay Stephenson and Wayne Woodward. The sophomores are repre sented by Georgia Boone, Bren da Chappell, Beth Daniel, Walter Jessup, Linda Whitehurst and John G. Parker. The freshmen representatives are Dianne Bryant, Diane Cole, Ethelene Hatcher, Elizabeth P, Lewis, Ricky McGee and Carol Jo Vick. The president of the NCHS Student Council is Judye Chap pell. The second Miss NCHS is to be crowned next Friday night during the halftime of the North ampton - Scotland Neck football game. She will be crowned by Carol Harrington, who was last year’s queen. A homecoming dance will be held In the NCHS gym following the game and will last until midnight. Music is to be provided by the Chancellors. The Northampton Ramlets lost their second game of the season to Ahoskle’s Little Indians last Thursday afternoon at Ahoskie, 13-7. The Ramlets presently have a 2-2 record. Last year’s Ram-Page staff will be regular subscribers to this year’s Ram-Page by virtue of a fund left by them for that purpose. Nicky Martin, last year’s edi tor, is attending Chowan College along with Jimmy Lassiter, re porter of last year. The three feature writers of last year are also furthering their education. They are Mary Ann Mumford at Louisburg Col lege, Betsy Bradley at Richmond Professional Institute ajid Bon nie Taylor who is attending East Carolina College. Edgar Parker, sports editor, is studying at Guilford College. Roy Parrish, who mimeographed the paper and wrote features and news, Is also attending East Ca rolina College. Ruth Williams, reporter and headline maker, is attending beauty school at Roa noke Rapids. Another reporter of last year, Lena Martin, is work ing at Sunbeam in Ahoskie. This staff originated the Ram- Page and edited 17 Issues in 1964-65 school year.
