Portlier, Mrs. J. C. II. Wilson, 'Mrs. J. T. Burdell, Mrs. J. A. Burdell, Mrs. I). T. Knight, Miss Louise Wilson, Miss Mclita Wilson, Miss Nannie Knight and Mr. Geo. T. Knight. An ice course was served by the guests. Mrs. J. C. 11. Wilson gave a picnic ' at Junaluska last week in honor of her guest. Miss Mary B. Portlier, of Lynchburg, Ya. Mrs. T. M. Rickards visited in Can tan last week. * Dr. and Mrs. Horlong, of Jackson ville, Fla., have arrived and arc oc cupying their summer home. Mrs. Frank Lindscy, of Sedro Woolly, \\ash., is visiting friends in Balsam. Born to, Mr. and Mrs. Wcss Henry the 25th, a fine son. Miss Lilian Konnev has returned from Asheville, where she visited several weeks. Mrs. Raymond Christian and Mas ter Raymond, Jr., of Atlanta, Ga., and Misses Margaret and Elizabeth Candler, of Sylva, visited Mrs. D. T. Knight, Monday alicrnoon. Mrs. Julia White and Master Fred Jr., and Miss Alice Kenney of Ashe ville and Mr. Fletcher Kenney of Athens, Ga., visited relatives in Balsam, Sunday. Mrs. J. K. Kenney, who spent the winter in Asheville is iu Balsam for the summer. Mr. J. K. Kenney is al so in Balsam for a few days. Mr. J. A.
