J k Will Have Progressive Dinner On the "evening of December 17, the Woman's Club will have a progressive dinner. The members will first assemble at the ' home of Mrs. Bill Wise for the cosktail course which will 'be served. From there they will proceed to the home of Misse? Lucile and Margaret Wilson for the salad course. Progressing to the home of Mrs. Walter L. Jones ? {or the main course, tn^ ciud jill then go to the home of Miss jxjuise Mason where dessert will be served. At the home of Miss Noracella McGuire coffee will be, served. and a Christmas tree enjoyed. The club will make plans for spreading Christmas cheer to less fortunate people. Mission Circle /Met Wednesday The afternoon circle of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist church met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. C. Z. Candler, Mrs. David M. Hall, circle leader, presided; and an offering was taken for the Bethlehem House in Winston-Salem. Mrs. J. F. Freeze conducted the devotional, which centered a^out the Christmas story; and M.s. Ratledge. accompanied by Miss Margaret Candler at- the piano, sang, "Long *ears Ago O'er Bethlehem s Hills" The missionary topic, which was a general review of the work ot the women of the Methodist church in the mission field, was pre sented by Mrs. Dan rompKins.
