Some time- in tl afternoon Mon I 1 ' 1 day (ieorge and Maggie Hall to.»k their baby sister for a ride behind a horse thought te> be perfectlv for children to drive. The three children were enjoying their ride out toward the South Feuk River, when the horse for some mysterious and unknown reason became suddenly frightened and began to kick and run Then it was that the greatest neive and presence ( t mind we ever heard e>f chiMren possessing was brought into action, (ieorge said t> his lister, "Hold the babv in the buggv, while he hung te> the horse* with all his strength, which however availed nothing. Maggie savs she does not know how it occurred, but the babv was Ihe first fo fal'l from the l»u«'«'v an 1 she* was tie*\t. Maggie says as soon as she* was able dragged herself to where (ieoige was lying, the bahv having been picked up by Mr. kil lian, took his head in her lap. and placing an arm around the babv. waited till some water and restora tives could be brought. A more touching picture" of sisterly iove» could not possibly be? imagined. George is more seriously injured than the lest of the children and at last reports was unconscious.
