Special Events Buses not be a consideration for this, fiscal budget year. University Transportation Planner Raymond Magyar said in an interview after the meeting that he was not sure the University would buy the system from the town. “This University has never attempted to do anything like this before,” he said. “We have never had to run anything as massive as an entire bus transit sys tem.” Transportation planners also sug gested eliminating unpopular routes to help save money to buy new buses. But council member Julie Andresen said this plan would not solve the problem. “Lf we reduce service, then we have a slightly decreased number of riders,” she said. “That is not going to help us raise money for the buses in the long run.” lIISBE.
