Diversity brings students together BY KELLY ETHERIDGE STAFF WRITER A number of minority organizations came together Wednesday to sponsor a two-hour cultural-diversity workshop. The workshop was part of a series of ongoing events for Asian-American Heritage Awareness Week. “The purpose of the workshop in general is to promote the open dialogue about issues of diversity and issues that arise out of having a diverse campus population,” said Kirti Shastri, student programs coordinator for the Diversity Campus Training Project. Approximately 25 people, including students and UNC alumni, attended the workshop.
