News ■ A 20-year-old man was shot outside of the Thu Epsilon Phi fra ternity house, 216 E. Rosemary St., about 2:50 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The man was shot once in the left shoulder by a small-caliber handgun, and he then was taken to UNC Hospitals where he was treat ed and released, reports state. According to reports, the inci dent occurred after a fight took place that morning between the suspect and the victim’s brother. The suspect is described as a black male in his earl/ 20s, who is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and has long dreadlocks, according to reports. An officer stopped Lloyd Carrol Vance on Country Club Road for running a stoplight and for exceed ing the posted speed limit After the officer allied in Vance’s information, a dispatcher confirmed that Vance had active warrants in Douglas County, Ga., reports state. The Douglas County sheriff was then contacted, and the officer at the scene arrested Vance for a fugi tive warrant, according to reports. After being taken before the Orange County magistrate, Vance was given a secured bond for SIO,OOO and was taken into cus tody at the Orange County Jail, reports state.
