Resell went to Raleigh last Wednes day to hear Taderewski. Mr. Douglas Egerton passed sev eral days in the thriving city of Char lotte last week. Mr. Harry Kenyon perambulated -the streets of Washington and Phila delphia last week. ' Mr. I. H. Bounds paid a visit to the staid old town of Weldon last Satur day and Sunday. Mr. D. T. Hoover, a representative of the American heating Company, was here Monday to test the school heating plant. Mr. P. M. Stallings went to Raleigh last Saturday to look in on the legis lative Solons and Solomons. Dr. and Mrs. M. P. Perry are con valescent after a protracted spell of sickness. Rev. Herbert Scholz went to Youngs- vill last Saturday and returned Mon day. Mr Will Watson went to Hender son Sunday afternoon to visit a sick son-in-law. The mud like the poor, is still with us. A bond issue for good roads is the medicine. Mrs. A. D. Gardner was carried to Rex Hospital last Friday to be treated for sciatica. Mr. J. R. Riggan, Jr., is the newly elected Secretary-Treasurer of the Macon Union Warehouse Co. Rev. Dr. T. J. Taylor lectured at Churchill last Friday evening on War ren county History. Mr. J. B. Overby was in town last Saturday and was nursing very ten derly several boils and carbuncles. Mr. W. D. Gooch and his son Clear ence, of Embro, were in our midst Sat urday morning. Mr. Russell Ellis returned last Sat urday from Petersburg where he had some dental work done by Dr. Vance King.
