JONES, SR. \ Contributing Editor That Justice May Ever Have A Champion; That Evil Shall Not Flourish Unchallenged' Entered at the Postoffice at War- , renton, North Carolina, under Act of Congress of 1879. j All American workers, brain workers and manual wbrkers alike, and all the rest of us ? - J 1- nn in order that we may know the source of the information. ATTEND WARREN COUNTY FAIR. ! We trust that the attend- : ance at the Warren County Agricultural Fair, which opens here on Monday and runs through Saturday, will be large. Every citizen in-| terested in the development of the county should make a special effort to attend at , least one day or night and boost the fair to their fiiends and neighbors resid-J ing in adjoining counties, as well as Warren. There is more to a fair than the mid-way, shows,] and fireworks which furnish j entertainment for those "out1 l r i i i i *? on mil ana pleasure Dent. | These are of value because they give pleasure and, nat-| urally, draw crowds, but the | true worth of a county fair lies in the fact that it en.' courages individual effort to excel in whatever the heart, i m HARRIS & < SHOE Now Located DAMERON wn S CHARLIE CA SHOEM whose well-being: ui-puuu theirs, know that our needs are one in building: an orderly economic democracy in which all can profit and all can be secure from the kind of faulty economic direction which brought | us to the brink of common ruin seven ydars ago.?FranKiin v. Roosevelt. Taxes must be paid. Itj seems a good idea to payj them during the fall, thus earning a discount and saving later worry. Every now and then we' i receive unsigned communications for the pages of this newspaper. Some time they are in the form of news articles and some times they have to do with politics. We are always glad to print the views of others upon matters of public interest, but we do rot give them circulation when they are unsigned or when its "Taxpayer" or "Citizen." Let us have your name for publication when you have views which you deem worthy of circulation, and when you have news, let us have your name, not necessarily for publication, but Warren ton, North Carolina mind and hand have set out to accomplish, it offers those who have excelled a reward for their accomplishments, and it is educational in that it reflects the progress which has been made and stimu_ lates others to take advantage of this progress. This is the first Warren county fair in years, perhaps the first ever with the attractions which a mid-way offers, and every effort is being made by the Lions Club, which is sponsoring the project, the show people, and others co-operating in the movement, to make it a success?an annual event. The outcome depends on the public's reaction. Do your part by boosting and attending. GOOD PRICES FOR TOBACCO HERE The high prices which are being paid for tobacco on the Warrenton market are pleasing to both farmers and business men. True, Warrenton is a comparatively small marLet, but there is nothing small about the figures which are being paid here to the growers for their crop. As a matter of fact, warehouse- men here claim the size of a the market is an advantage to the farmer, and there is logic in their contention. They A point out that a market the a size of Warrenton has an ad- ^ vantage over the larger mar. a kets in that every pile is apt A to be given more careful a study without too much hus_ tie and bustle. Warrenton has a good to- A bacco market; a good cotton A market, good stores and a strong bank and invites the farmers of this section to A if Vl oq 11 o vf **r?c? -Pav Kiiir muiiv AV uvuvivjuui itio 1U1 UUJ" ^ ing, selling and visiting.
