FRIDAY, MAY 27, 1M Parity Level In Wheat R< The main issue at stake ii the referendum of wheat farm ers scheduled for July 21 wil be the parity level at whicl the crop will be supported fo: complying farmers. According to H. D. Godfrej State Administrative Office * for the Agricultural Stabiliza tion and Conservation Commit tee, a favorable vote will se the support rate at 15 pe cent of parity on the 1961 croi while an unfavorable vote wil drop support to 50 per cent o parity. The wheat allntmon) fn North Carolina for 1961 1 292,9808 acres. This compare with the state's?wheat?allol ment for this year of 295,87 acres and is based on a natior al allotment of 55 millio; acres. The same 55 millio acre allotment prevailed thi year since that is the min mum fixed law. The slight d< crease in the allotment for thi ? year is brought about by r< Vl ducing planting trends in thi state.
