An outstandingly beautiful social event of the summer season was the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary reception of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Edgar Williams held at the Goldsboro Country Club Thursday evening, July 22, from eight until eleven o'clock, attended by approximately four hundred and fifty guests from Goldsboro and out of town. Stevens and Dr. and Mrs. S. B. McPheeters. Facing the entrances was a table with cut-out figures "19351960" in silver, flanked by silver candelabra and a floral arrangement?of?white?asters^ chrysanthemums, and bells of Ireland in a silver pitcher. A shirred net table cover was framed with silver magnolia leaves, and garlanded with smilax.
