Miss Paschall Given Shower Miss Nancy Jo Paschall, j bride-elect, was entertained at, a miscellaneous shower given by Mesdames Hal Paschall, G.I O. Stultz, Sr., G. O. Stultz, Jr..1 Bill Craft, William Hicks, Mary i Knott and Howard Lee Stultz at the Zion Educational Build-1 ing. The honoree will wed Ray Gene Ledford on Saturday evening, February 17, at 7:30 p. m. at Zion Methodist Church. Corsages were presented the bride-elect and her mother, Mrs. Alton Paschall. Following the entertainment, led by Mrs. William Hicks and Mrs. Ernest Brauer, the honoree was showered with 110 sLfts [ by the guests. I The hostesses presented Miss Paschall with a large silver platter. The building was tastefully decorated in green and white, with a touch of red. General WMS Meets At Church The General WMS meeting was held at the Baptist j Church Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock with Mrs. Eleanor j Hayes presiding. Plans were made for the observance of the season of prayer for home missions in March and also the home mission study, using the book, "Glimpes ot Glory," by C. C. Warren. The program on the "Mi grants" was given by members of the I.ottie Moon Circle with Mrs. Larry Bryson in charge. Printed programs, slides, maps and pictures were shown which mpde the program more impressive. Those assisting Mrs. Bryson were Mesdames Willie Felts, Howard Edmonds, 0. C. Abbott and W. E. Mul chi. There were 21 present. The Lottie Moon Circle won the attendance pin. The program for the next meeting will be under the sponsorship of the Margaret Mitchell Circle. Woman's Club Holds Meeting The Norlina Woman's Club held its February meeting at the club house on Wednesday evening with Mrs. T. W. Stal lings, club president, presiding, l'he devotional was given by Mrs. G. P. Grissom. A pro gram on "Valentine" was pre sented by Mrs. Alice Stultz. The members drew names for "Secret Pals" to last for the next three months. The meeting closed with the mem bers repeating the club col lect. The officers table was cover ed with a red cloth and bore an arrangement of red glads. Mrs. Stallings served the 11 members cherry tarts topped with ice cream and coffee. The March meeting will be at the home of Mrs. J. Roy Overby with Mrs. H. F. Kelly as joint hostess. Norlina High School. Mayfield, 98, died Monday afternoon in Warren General Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Mayfield was a retired | school teacher.
